This serum is the fourth level in Environ's premium Vitamin STEP-UP SYSTEM™. It contains an optimum concentration of vitamin A, C, and E that help to support and maintain a radiantly youthful appearance. Vita-Peptide C-Quence Serum 1 is the introductory serum in the premium Environ Vitamin STEP-UP SYSTEM™ and contains the lowest concentration of vitamin A and C in the Youth EssentiA range. The technologically advanced serums in this Vitamin STEP-UP SYSTEM™ range contain a powerful combination of ingredients that work in synergy to assist in: combating the visible signs of aging; creating the appearance of even, smoother, and healthier-looking skin; supporting and maintaining a radiantly youthful appearance. Product Benefits:  Vitamin E is supplied as both Tocopheryl Acetate and the most effective form of vitamin E, Tocopherol – the natural alcohol form of vitamin E. They help to quench free radicals, enhancing the effects of the skin’s natural sun protectors. They also assist in protecting skin's firm appearance and making the skin look younger. Lycopene is a carotenoid with the primary source being tomatoes. It is a powerful antioxidant and scientific research shows that it is more than 100 times more effective than vitamin E and twice as powerful as Beta Carotene.  It aids in protecting the skin against damaging effects caused by high-energy blue light. Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 + Palmitoyl Oligopeptide (Matrixyl® 3000) is a synthetic combination of five natural amino acids, which when compared to Retinol, acts just as effectively but has the advantage of not inducing skin irritations or reactions. Environ's innovative Mela-Fade Serum System contains a concentrated blend of vitamins and botanicals to assist in targeting and in improving the appearance of discoloration, leaving the skin looking more evenly toned and healthier.  Intelligent ingredient combinations have been selected that work together to fade and reduce the appearance of pigmentation, uneven skin tone and dark spots. SERUM A: Biobenefity is an extract from the leaves of the artichoke plant. Cynaropicrin, the active ingredient in artichoke extract, inhibits NF-kB (Nuclear Factorkappa B). Melanocyte growth factor is predicted by NF-kB activation. Biobenefity could inhibit the melanocyte proliferation through the reduction of NF-kB transcription guarding the skin against photoageing and pigmentation. Princess Care (Geranium robertianum extract) acts against photoaging. It helps the protect the basement membrane and prevents the generation of stagnant melanin by inhibiting tryptase activity, assisting to improve the appearance of age spots. AHA's such as lactic acid have been reported to be effective in treating pigmentary lesions such as melasma, solar lentigines, and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. SERUM B: Pro-vitamin B5 (Panthenol) is essential to normal epithelial function. Tropical dexpanthenol acts like a moisturizer, improving stratum corneum hydration, reducing transpidermal water loss, and maintaining skin softness and elasticity. Dexpanthenol has been shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect on experimental ultraviolet-induced erythema. Alpiniawhite is an extract of the seed of Alpina Katsumadai Hayata. In the mechanism fo melanogenesis, researchers have recently discovered a new signaling pathway of tyrosinase synthesis, and in the process, found a unique approach in suppressing melanin production. In this pathway, phospholipid-degrading enzyme (PLD1) plays a prominent role by hydrolizing phosphatidylcholine (PC) the main component of the cell membrane, into phosphatidic acid (PA) and choline In in vitro tests conducted with melanoma cells, the expression of tyrosinase decreases and intercellular melanin content declines by enhancing PLD1 activity. This method inhibits tyrosinase, thus, suppressing melanogenisis. Claiju is an extract of the fruit of Prunus domestica (plum). Claiju works to inhibit the phagocytotic appetite of keratinocytes to eat up synthesized melanin which are contained in melanosomes. Technically, this means the inhibition of the uptake of melanosomes into the keratinocytes. Neem Leaf Liquid B is an extract of Neem tree leaves. Prostaglandin synthesized by COX-2 is known to stimulate melanocytes. Neem Leaf Liquid B was confirmed to inhibit COX-2 and assist in the prevention of pigmentation, leaving the skin looking clearer and more radiant. Sakura Extact B is obtained from the leaf of the Prunus yedoensis (Japanese flowering cherry). It inhibits histamine release, which is known to stimulate melanocytes to produce melanin. Honeybush Extract is a known antioxidant and may help guard skin against external stressors that stimulate melanogenesis.

Retinol Serum 2 is the second step in Environ's Step Up System. Formulated with a higher concentration of Vitamin A than Retinol Serum 1, it helps to normalize the appearance of skin abnormalities and damage, and promote healthy-looking skin.  Assists in improving the appearance of uneven skin tone Helps to refine the look skin texture, giving your skin a firmer, smoother appearance. Assists in reducing and approving the appearance of premature aging and fine lines. Directions Start by adding 1 drop of retinol to your moisturizer each evening. As your skin gets comfortable with it, you can start to increase the amount of product until you can use it on its own. Use 2-4 bottles per step before going to the next step. Warning: The skin may feel uncomfortable when first using Retinol 1 and this transient irritation of the skin may reoccur during each step-up in the Intensive Retinol regime. If an irritation (dry skin with a rash) should develop we recommend that the frequency of application be reduced from every day to alternative or even every third or fourth day until the skin becomes comfortable.
